Copse Cottage Alcombe - Accommodation
Copse Cottage is an upside-down house, with the bedrooms downstairs! Our entrance is directly off the private car park for The Hopcott.
- Front door leads to a small entrance hall with coat hooks and storage area.
- Ground Floor - open plan Lounge / Kitchen
In the lounge area there is ample comfortable seating for 4 people, a TV with freeview /freesat and a small woodburning stove. Being a rural and hilly area, some channels may not always be available. You will find books, games and jigsaw puzzles in the welsh dresser. We have also provided local information with lots of suggestions for local walks and activities.
In the kitchen area, facilities include a cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier and microwave. Basic cleaning materials, washing-up liquid etc are provided.
- Stairs to Downstairs - Bathroom and two Bedrooms
- Bedroom 1
The main bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe and large chest of drawers. A hairdryer is available. Bedlinen is provided. There are net curtains at the windows for your privacy, as the bedrooms overlook the private pathway leading between the buildings.
- Bedroom 2
Two single beds (a 3ft and a 2ft6in), small chest of drawers and a wardrobe. Bedlinen is provided. Net curtains at the windows for your privacy. A travel cot is available should you need it, but please bring your own bedding/bedlinen for it.
- Bathroom
Including over-bath electric shower, heater and shaver point.
- General
In accordance with our enhanced cleaning regime, we prefer not to provide towels and teacloths, and will offer a discount if you can bring your own.
We are pleased to supply free WiFi and the password will be provided on arrival.
One thing we can't provide is a view! Until you step outside where you will see rolling hills, woods and the lane which leads on to Exmoor, ideal for walking.
Heating is by night storage heaters, and a small wood burning stove. We have also provided portable electric heaters in case extra warmth is needed.
Equipment provided includes iron & ironing board, high chair, travel cot, stair gate, hairdryer and a fireguard.
